Elaine Horwitch was a major art dealer in the Southwest during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, responsible, in part, for the rise of new western art and southwest pop art styles. Some of Horwitch’s favorite artists challenged and entertained her with their bold personalities, exciting new images, and ability to attract collectors and the press alike.
Dr. Sasse worked with these artists in the 1980s and 90s and will lead a lively discussion about the dynamic relationships they had with Horwitch and their places in the art world during that time.
