Dawn to Dusk: Yerba Mansa Project
Coronado Historic Site

Coronado Historic Site offers extended hours from dawn until dusk, on the First Sunday of each month, May through October, to allow visitors an opportunity to see the site at these beautiful times of day. Join us today from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. as The Yerba Mansa Project leads a 90-minute trail talk on native herbal and medicinal plants. The Yerba Mansa Project is an Albuquerque-based community-supported 501(c)3 non-profit organization started in 2014 to reestablish the connectivity of people, plants, and the land in the Middle Rio Grande Valley. Their work supports the health of ecologically and culturally important native edible and medicinal plants and provides an opportunity for people to reclaim their role in caretaking our land and perpetuating our culinary and healing traditions. Topics include plant identification, changing landscapes of New Mexico, edible and medicinal plants, and more. First Sundays are FREE to all New Mexico residents with ID.
