All Trails Lead to Santa Fe
Santa Fe 400th Book Launch

New Mexico History Museum

Join us for the launch of All Trails Lead to Santa Fe (Sunstone Press, 2010), an anthology commemorating the City Different's 400th anniversary. A free, family event.

When Santa Fe 400th commemorative events committees were formed by Santa Fe 400th Anniversary, Inc., among them was a sub-committee organized to encourage scholars, including historians, anthropologists, and writers to submit previously unpublished works to be included in an anthology on the history of Santa Fe to commemorate its official founding in 1610. The committee was comprised of individuals who were either historians, archaeologists, archivists or had previous publications in related fields.

The committee selected 19 submissions that reflected Santa Fe’s diverse and complex prehistory and history to periods up to WWII. Included in the book is a foreword by Marc Simmons, a preface by Orlando Romero, an introduction by Joseph P. Sanchez, and a poem by past Santa Fe Poet Laureate Valerie Martinez.

Sunstone Press was selected to publish the 540-page book (hard-cover, $50; soft-cover, $35). The anthology, it was hoped, would inspire other scholars and writers to pursue further research and future publications regarding Santa Fe in years to come. The intent of the anthology was also to complement existing publications on the history of Santa Fe.
