Annual Artist Studio Tour
Sanitary Tortilla Factory in Albuquerque

New Mexico Museum of Art

While last year’s popular studio tour focused on photography, this year’s tour features Albuquerque’s burgeoning art scene. The Sanitary Tortilla Factory is providing a creative environment for cutting edge artists and reflects the adaptive reuse of industrial buildings to support the arts community in Albuquerque.

The current space has fifteen working artist studios, an 1100sf exhibition space and anticipates completion of a fabrication space by 2017. The main goal is to support regional artists by providing exhibition space at no charge. Sanitary Tortilla Factory Founder and Director, Sheri Crider, who is both a working artist and a construction professional, is in a unique position to facilitate art collaborations for artists with construction/waste industries, educational facilities, and social welfare agencies. Program includes guided tour, visits to artists studios, special bus, and lunch.

This is a members only event. Find out how to join the Museum of New Mexico Foundation.
