Glorieta Pass and the Plot to Assassinate Colonel John Slough
Please join Richard Miller, historian and author of Thwarted Ambition: The Life of General John Slough, who will use the background of the 1862 New Mexico campaign to revisit Chivington’s role in the victory at Glorieta Pass and discuss his plot to ruin Slough through insubordination, anonymous newspaper attacks, and even threats against the colonel’s life, as part of our Friends of History lecture series.
