The Manchester, Massachusetts home of the Tappan family, where Samuel F. Tappan’s great-grandniece C.P. Kitty Weaver lives today. The newly verified, last-remaining copy of the 1868 Treaty of Bosque Redondo had been in a trunk in the house since the Indian Peace Commission officer returned from his duties in the early 1870s.
