Welcome to the New Mexico History Museum Media Kit.

We created these materials to help you learn more about the background of the New Mexico History Museum and give you a hint as to all the stories it contains.

Our staff is available to answer questions, arrange interviews or provide specific materials, including a wealth of still images. We welcome visits from the media to tour the museum campus. Give us enough notice, and we can likely get you into our collections and conservation areas, too.

In May 2009, the History Museum first opened its doors, joining the Palace of the Governors, a National Historic Landmark and the state's first museum. Together, the buildings help us share more than 500 years of stories about the American West, along with a robust programming series and educational curricula. We consider this the perfect place to begin your New Mexico exploration. Story ideas related to the museum itself, and the New Mexico history stories to be told within, are virtually limitless.
