An afternoon of Yoga and Sikh Dharma on the Plaza is part of Be Here Now: Summer of Love Santa Fe, a multi-partner, multi-venue, multi-event collaboration among Santa Fe cultural institutions. A flashback to the social experimentation and activism that catalyzed the nation’s young people during the 1960s to today, Be Here Now offers powerful, relevant commentary about forms of resistance, individual and social empowerment, alternatives, and the resilience of the human spirit.

“The idea for having this afternoon on the Plaza came because of 3HO’s involvement with the Voice of Counterculture of the Southwest exhibition at the New Mexico Museum of History,” said Gurufateh Kaur Khalsa, Manager of The Yogi Bhajan Museum Project. “We came up with the afternoon of Yoga on the Plaza to highlight 45 years of our community’s presence in New Mexico."

The Yogi Bhajan Museum showcases items Yogi Bhajan collected over his years teaching about Yoga and Sikh Dharma to those who wish to better their lives through  the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma.

All Yoga on the Plaza events are free and the public is encouraged to attend.
