(Santa Fe, New Mexico) – The New Mexico History Museum will exhibit vintage fiesta dresses during this year’s annual Fiesta de Santa Fe. Local Santa Fe women, performers, as well as former Fiesta Queens donated many of these dresses as part of the museum’s permanent collection.

“Fiesta patrons, fashionistas, and everybody who appreciates vintage clothing will certainly want to check out this selection of the ever-popular fiesta dresses worn by so many in Santa Fe and throughout New Mexico,” said Billy G. Garrett, director of the History Museum.

¡Vámonos a la Fiesta! on display during Fiesta de Santa Fe, Aug. 30 through Sept. 9. New Mexico History Museum, open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Each year since 1712, many Santa Feans have recognized Don Diego de Vargas’ reconquest of the City of Holy Faith that began in 1692.  The Burning of Zozobra traditionally marks the beginning of the week-long Fiesta, which will take place Friday, August 30, 2019.
