Join MIAC to celebrate the successful run of David Bradley’s Indian Country exhibition! The films and panel are inspired by Bradley, whose art often makes significant statements by combining Indan contemporary issues with a touch of humor.
At 1pm, we screen Trudell, the Sundance-nominated film chronicle of legendary Native American poet and activist John Trudell’s travels, spoken word performances, and political impact. (80 mins)
Following the film, a panel moderated by Dr. Lara Evans (Cherokee) will feature Dallin Maybee, Ricardo Cate, America Meredith, and Frank Buffalo Hyde on the connections between social activism and art.
