Join Los Luceros Historic Site and Pajarito Environmental Center for the July edition of New Mexico Outdoor Pass: water! The site will also be open from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. as part of our Dawn ’til Dusk program.
Schedule of Events:
6:00 AM: Los Luceros opens early for Dawn ’til Dusk Day. Take a nice walk on the property in the early morning. Crafts will be available all day.
9:00 to 10:00 AM: Ranger-led tour of the Los Luceros historic district, with a special focus on how the site uses water for the gardens, crops, and orchards. Acequia activities and an information table will be set up as well.
10:00 to 11:00 AM: Vinyasa Flow Yoga class with Christa Tyson. Check-in at the visitor center, then meet in the community room.
11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Guided walk along the Los Luceros acequias, some of the oldest in New Mexico (over 300 years old!).
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM: FireWise Lecture on Plants, Water, and Fire in New Mexico by Carlos Vigil in the airconditioned community room and kids water and fire activities.
2:00 to 3:00 PM: Another chance to join a guided walk along the Los Luceros acequias.
8:30 PM: Los Luceros closes.
