Fort Selden Historic Site is celebrating its 50th anniversary as part of the New Mexico Historic Sites system. The Doña Ana County Historical Society will celebrate its 60th anniversary as an organization, as well as the hard work the organization put in to designate Fort Selden as a Historic Site, at the same time.
Visitors are cordially invited to join the celebration on Saturday, July 1, at 6:00 p.m. There will be live music, hot dogs and hamburgers, cake, and a sunset tour highlighting the last 50 years of Fort Selden Historic Site. Staff, volunteers, and visitors alike can help dream of Fort Selden’s next 50 years together!
The 50th Anniversary event is free. To RSVP, please call (575) 202-1638.
