Rotary Club of Albuquerque and Museum Host Annual Literacy Event

For Immediate Release: October 29, 2019 (Albuquerque, NM) The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science is teaming up with the Rotary Club of Albuquerque for their fourth annual Literacy Event. The event is scheduled for November 3rd from noon to 3 p.m. at the Museum.

Visitors can enjoy hands-on literacy-based activities, games, puppet shows and science-related activities. Children can get a free book at the event after completing Museum activities.

“This is an exciting opportunity to support and promote literacy in our community and continues our wonderful relationship with the Rotary Club of Albuquerque,” said Margie Marino, Executive Director of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science.

Community organizations such as the Rio Rancho libraries, The Public Library (Albuquerque/Bernalillo County), Explora and Early Childhood Accountability will be participating in the event as well.

Story time at the event will be held at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The puppet shows will be at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
