(Santa Fe, N.M.) The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) has implemented measures to minimize public health risks from coronavirus (COVID-19) in the interest of the health and well-being of our visitors and staff.

There are currently no interruptions to regular hours of operation at all DCA museums, historic sites, facilities, and offices. Operations and core services will continue (e.g. Rural Bookmobiles through the NM State Library or Wonders on Wheels through the Museum Resources Division).

Facilities staff members are sanitizing high-traffic areas, including surfaces, door handles, and elevator buttons, and the custodial staff is conducting extra cleaning with Clorox, Lysol, and other anti-bacterial products.

Staff members who are feeling ill are expected to stay home. We request that members of the public monitor their own health and follow public health recommendations.

All public events at DCA Divisions through April 9, 2020 have been cancelled in accordance with this morning’s order by the New Mexico Department of Health (DOH) which temporarily prohibits mass gatherings in New Mexico. Individual events on museum and historic site websites will be updated with this information, and presenters should be contacted for events not produced by DCA’s Divisions.
