Photography by Addison Doty
A Moapa Southern Paiute leader or spokesperson, wore this cap. Made of mountain sheep hide, quill tips, and blackbird feathers, this piece is reflective of every Native nation’s sovereign right to self-governance, as well as the ingenuity of the individual maker.
